Meet the crew...
Sam the biggest kid in town who doesn't care what his mates think when he's out on a Friday night showing off his dance moves to his favourite tune "Call Me Maybe" (still a banga). He oozes enthusiasm and literally bounces off the energy from the kids.
Pickles (Kate Pickles) is our dancing dynamo who has all the moves to get the party started. Whilst her signature dance move is the sprinkler, she's known to raise the roof and can floss like a boss! Pickles will no doubt leave a lasting impression for the all right reasons.
Dj Matty V is Kids Disco Parties very own HYPE MAN! His disco mantra is simple... "all you need is a beat to move your feet". Give Mat a space and some kids and he'll have them carving up the dancefloor and delivering a disco that the kids won't soon forget.
Maddi is one rockin’ chick who knows how to party! With a background in teaching kids with special needs, she is an absolute asset to the Kids Disco Parties crew. Maddi has the magic touch to make every kid feel like a super star on their special day. |
Our very own Disco Pop Princess, Sophie knows how to get the party started. While our disco lights do a pretty good job, DJ So-Phresh lights up every party with her big bright smile. So-Phresh has a few tricks up her sleeve to get all the guys and gals raising the roof at any disco she hosts!
Michael - aka (Dj Finna) is an all-round legend in the classroom and on the decks. He drops beats as fresh as his fashion and is not afraid to cut shapes on the dancefloor. Finna loves
creating a rockin atmosphere for all ages.His discos are #NEXTLEVEL! 
Dj Loz (Laura) is the resident P.E Teacher of the crew and is a strong believer of 'Teamwork makes the dreamwork"... especially on the dancefloor. Whether it's belting out a disco classic, carving up the dancefloor or doing the chicken dance, Dj Loz has it covered!
DJ Nate creates disco vibes in and out of the classroom. His students are always doing disco division, angles dance moves and lyrical linguistics! He has all the moves to get the kids up and bopping along in time. We’re also yet to find a song that DJ Nate doesn’t know all the words to!

Trent (Aka Dj Ray Ray) has years of experience entertaining kids. He is a big kid at heart and always the first to hit the dancefloor to carve it up with the little party rockers. He'll have everyone moving, grooving and shakin' it in no time. The kids will be screaming for more!
Yazmine is an absolute superstar who brightens any room she dances into! Her energy is infectious and she is probably the smartest person we know! It takes Dj Yaz-Z under 60 seconds to complete two things - a Rubix Cube and create an absolute rockin dance floor!
Tim (Aka Dj Timmy G) is our resident rockstar here at Kids Disco Parties! We dare you to take him on in an air guitar competition. His dino dance is also second to none, it’s no wonder every disco he hosts is an absolute smash hit!
Dj MJ (Mel) is our resident dancing queen who is always blamin' it on the boogie! Mels is also known as 'Sport Spice' by the crew and her disco party games ideas have taken our parties to the next level. An absolute chick magnet, MJ will no doubt leave a lasting impression! |
The Kids Disco Party Story

Trent Ray founded Kids Disco Parties in 2011 while teaching at Laburnum Primary School in Blackburn. Every year Trent (Aka Dj Ray Ray) would host the annual Junior School Disco sparking a curious parent to ask if he would like to entertain at his child’s birthday party. The rest is history and Trent soon found himself hosting discos most weekends as a prized kids entertainer. Word spread of the fun to be had, so over the past few years Trent enlisted his colleagues Sam Macaulay, Tim Gray, Ashleigh Hudson, Maddi Byrne and Oliva Mahon to form the Kids Disco Parties crew. Our ever growing crew of awesome DJs now host 100s of children's celebrations, events and school fundraisers all over Melbourne each year.
We often get asked if we would ever quit teaching to do this full time. We say hell no – we love our day jobs as teachers too much. It is however a great excuse for us to channel our inner child and party like no-one is watching! |
